Sugar Bowl

The last time I ordered from Simon Says Stamp, I treated myself to a House Mouse stamp - this design is called Sugar Bowl. I can't handle much sugar in my diet, so I compensate by buying stamps of desserts - odd little habit I have!

There are actually 2 mice in the design, but I just wanted to focus on one of them, so I stamped off the side of a white 3" Inchie Square from Inchie Arts. The image is colored with a combination of Polychromos Pencils and Prismacolor Pencils, and the background is watercolored using Shinhan Premium Watercolors.  I love the versatility of these Art Squares, especially with mixed media!

I used the Pencil Resist technique with a stencil to add a pattern to the wall behind the sugar bowl - love that little pop there.

The sugar cubes are covered with white Carrara Marble glitter from Martha Stewart - it's a fun little realistic touch that doesn't show up well in the photo. I stamped a 'sweet' thank you message inside, and sent this off to a friend who surprised us with an amazing care package recently.

Hope you have a wonderful week!
