Mixed Media Challenge - Any Way the Wind Blows
It's my turn again to host the Mix-Ability mixed media challenge at Splitcoaststampers!
For my first challenge, we experimented with ways of moving color with water...
This time we're moving color with AIR. There are a variety of ways to make this happen: airbrush, atomizer or spritzer tool, air can, blow-pens, blowing through a straw, bubbles, spray paint. In the video below, I'll demonstrate a few ideas to get you started. I really hope you'll join us!
This is one of the samples I made in the video - the background panel is actually colored with bubbles! A little dish soap and dye ink in a small amount of water is all you need for the technique. I used some of my own stamp designs for the card (Beachcomber, Blessed, Crochet Doily, Gravel Texture) and French Ledger, which I never put away. The Chevrons stencil was purchased from Eclectic Paperie (they have all the new CHA releases - run there!), and the button is from Craftpon.
Here's the video - check it out, then come play along with us!
