Stamping with Jill - Tom and Tilly

Time for another post with Jill! We're working with the Tom and Tilly cling set today... this adorable image by Mo Manning is just so sentimental and beautiful. ♥

I hadn't pulled out my Prismacolor pencils for months (they stayed here when we were in the States...) so I knew I wanted to use them on this image. I had orginally set the image in a Spellbinders die, like last Monday's card, but things evolved in my mind to this little scene. Since I had cut out the bench, it ended up looking more like a swing to me, so I 'hung' it with twine from a partial die cut (the trunk of Impression Obsession's Bare Tree.... by the way, speaking of IO dies - the new dies are in the online store!! Go peek!!)

I used some scraps from my stash to create a little moonlight scene inside an aperture card from Flower Soft. (These are heavy-weight tri-fold cards made to use with their display globes.)  Here's a close-up on the couple - it's hard to tell in the photo, but I did make some cuts around their elbows, so I could add a little dimension by embossing from behind.

I fluffed up her bouquet with several layers of Flower Soft - I used Ultrafine Sage, Ultrafine White, Ultrafine Raspberry Fizz, and Lavender. The key to layering Flower Soft is waiting for the glue to really dry between layers... I'm not really good at the waiting part!!
.

I hope you'll take a peek over at Jill's blog to see what she's created with this stamp today!
Thanks for stopping by!
