Home... ♥

Just a quick note to let you know we made it home safely! We had a seamless flight despite delays. We were traveling with quite a bit of extra baggage... and amazingly we were able to avoid import tax and customs charges (it helped that the porters knew who we were and were on our side... really we're only allowed $1000 worth of 'stuff' for our entire family, and you can imagine with clothes and school books, not to mention "my stuff", that we were just slightly over...)

Here's our mountain of luggage at the SF airport... 18 pieces... 900 pounds... really?

My heart was really torn this last week, as our travels coincided with the CHA Summer show in Chicago, where my stamp line was debuting in the Impression Obsession booth. Mitra posted this picture on Facebook so I could see, and I'm proud to be able to share it with you! I'm so excited about this new role with IO.
We arrived home Friday and I've been working since then to unpack the things we had stored away along with the things we brought home with us (someone was staying in our house, but I had put some things away, and other things had been moved around) - I think my kitchen is functional again and my studio is mostly put back together and looking very inviting at the moment...! I have some fun fun fun surprises to work on for August... can't wait to share those with you! Slowly getting used to the time difference... I managed to sleep until 3 this morning, so that was progress.

One more week until our annual Dare to Get Dirty challenge spree - if you are a Fan Club Member over at Splitcoaststampers, we would so love for you to come and join us!  We are spreading the fun over 7 whole days, with 5 challenges a day brought to you by current and former Dirty Dozen design team members known as the Dirty Girls. You can click on the blinkie above for more information!

Thanks to those of you who follow our ministry and my design work, and are always encouraging me!
Thanks for stopping by!

  1. OMGosh--and I am always told two suitcases and two carry-ons are a lot between FL & NY! Glad you arrived safely. Good luck unpacking and congrats on your new IO line.

  2. You are so lucky there were not overage charges. I travelled with a suitcase that cost me $100 when I left my moms. So disappointing. Congratulations on your new venture with stamp designing. I love your work.
