Flower Soft Sprinkle Challenge: Scallops

This week's Flower Soft Sprinkle challenge over at SCS (FSC20) is to use Flower Soft on your projects that contain scallops. We'd love to have you join us, wherever that theme takes your imagination!

A card in the Flower Soft idea gallery inspired this card - it was a bit tedious, but I love the results. I wanted to use just part of the "I Love You" image so I carefully colored just Charlie with a Marvy LePlume II marker. I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to position the bird on Charlie's finger (the bird is from one of the Moments in Time Christmas sets, called Little Friend), and also colored just his outline with a marker. I colored the image with Touch Twin Markers - I am starting to get the hang of blending and techniques now that I have more colors... still a work in progress, but fun to practice! I used chalk inks to fill in and sponge the area around the scene.

I used Ultrafine Sand and Sage Flower Soft on the grassy area. My scallops were cut with a corner rounder punch, with the corner guard removed, choosing some coordinating scraps from my stash.

If you'd like to join in on the challenge, pull out the Flower Soft - you might even win a prize (this week's prize is 4 pots of Flower Soft, winner's choice!)! Post your project in the Splitcoast Gallery using the keywords flowersoft (one word) and FSC20. We'd love to have you join us!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
