graduation
We had our graduation last night - 15 students who have finished their first phase of training, which we call "Firm Foundations". They'll spend the next semester interning and building relationships in their sending churches. Love love love these guys - a few of them have actually been here for 5 semesters, so we've had lots of time to grow close. Here's a picture of the graduates and staff (can you tell they're not used to wearing ties? hehe...)
...and then a picture of us with a couple of the graduates. P.S. On a total side note, the pants that I wore last night have been tucked away for 3 years because they didn't fit... and now they do! After a couple of miserable months I've started taking a B supplement to help stabilize my hormones and nerves, and also cut out sugar and cut way back on carbs in an effort to stabilize my blood sugar. I feel sooooooo much better! Losing weight wasn't my goal, but I'll take it!
Congrats to all your graduates and you look really good.
ReplyDeleteThis is great, it must be so satisfying (but would love to know which country it is, even if you want to email me at squigglypigs@live.com) Thanks
ReplyDeleteDina,
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all of the graduates and to you for fitting into your old pants. That is such a great feeling huh? I did lost some weight a few years back and still remember how nice it felt to slip into my old skinny clothes!
*Hugs*
