Flower Soft

Did you know - the Impression Obsession and Flower Soft design teams are joining forces this week for a blog hop? today's the day - can't wait to share that with you! Prizes will be involved....gift certificates to both companies will be hidden along the way.

As a teaser, here is how I dyed the Flower Soft on the card I'll be sharing later on. Cheapo Frugal crafter that I am, I like to stretch my supplies, and it's always a bonus to be able to match inks and embellishments, too. Buying light or neutral colors of Flower Soft gives you the option to create your own colors and mixes to coordinate with your projects.

Here are the supplies I used: I put just a pinch of the Flower Soft in a small plastic bag with a drop of hand sanitizer and a drop of dye reinker (this color is called Lettuce), then squished it around with my fingers until the color was even. I used the hand sanitizer because it was alcohol based, and the gel also seemed to help the dye and Flower Soft stick. Another bonus, in my case - this kind smells really nice!

Let the Flower Soft air dry, and use it right away or store it for a later project. Here are a few of the colors I have dyed, and I'm storing them in these little paint pots for future projects. The colors below (L - R) were made with Lettuce (Adirondack), Soft Rose (Memories), and Vermillion (Impress).

Here's my finished "Lettuce" dyed Flower Soft, ready to use!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
