Impression Obsession DT Challenge: A Tisket A Tasket

Time for another Impression Obsession Design Team challenge - this time Easter baskets are our inspiration!

Did you know that you can enter these challenges too, using your Impression Obsession stamps? See the I.O. blog for all the details - you might even win a $25 gift certificate!!

This is a quick and easy basket, made from a square piece of cardstock (it's 21cm square...I don't normally measure in centimeters, but it did make it easy to divide the side in 3!) I followed this beautiful tutorial here to make the basket. Super easy! I actually showed some of our students here how to make them, too... and we have plans to make a bunch of tiny ones for wedding favors in a few months.

My bunny is one of Sarah Phelps' designs, "Bunny with Carrot" - stamped on some Basic Grey cardstock and colored with Neopiko markers and Prismacolor pencils. I handwrote the greeting on my tag.

Had to make a card too, and I had a couple other challenges I wanted to incorporate as well - Peachy Keen Stamps had a recipe challenge: use green and yellow, a 3-d element, with a stamped image. I used Friday Sketchers' sketch #91 as well.

It was fun pulling out all the patterned papers - I love these pale sages and buttercream yellows together. For the background of my watercolored scene, I used a cling set from Impression Obsession, called Garden Fence. (The sign is part of the set as well.) I used reinkers mixed with Shimmerz to paint with. "Grow" is a partial stamp image from the Typestacks Family clear set.

This time bunny is popped up on foam tape. The sign is dimensional, too.

Be sure to check out the rest of the team's cards for inspiration....links are over to the left!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. These are both just wonderful. I have decided not to post to the albums until the challenges are over. I want people to see what you all do. I love the painting with the Shimmerz technique! Beautiful Easter and Spring card and basket!
