new glasses...big yay!
Some of you noticed my glasses in my new profile pic...here is the color version. They're similar in shape to my old ones, with a couple small differences... one difference is that the lenses are a little thicker, which was my choice because I didn't think it would make a difference...wrong! If I hold my head at certain angles I can see a reflection of light in the bit of lens that overlaps the frame (it's only like 1mm, but it still is noticeable, especially when I'm scrolling through blogs and such...). So...I have that to get used to. BUT....
This is what I have been looking through for the last several months - almost all the anti-glare coating peeled off one lens, and the other lens is full of scratches. Blech.
So I am not at all complaining. We're having a 3-day weekend....living in a country that encourages religious tolerance means we also get vacation days for holidays of other religions. So... um... today is Mohammed's birthday. At any rate, I'm thankful for the day off! Made cookies with my kiddos this morning and we had a nice little picnic across the campus. I have some digital work to catch up on and finalize (new stamp sets!), and I heard something about a movie marathon tonight. Sounds good to me! Have a great weekend...................
Can't believe you could accomplish anything with that old pair!
ReplyDeleteI'm right there with you on the new glasses front. My fat cat sat on them one to many times and they finally broke. So I got out my contacts which I haven't worn for nearly a year... that worked for a few days. Then I went to get a pair of readers. Hey! $10 and I'm happy... until I try to walk! It makes me a little sick to my stomach. My computer screen looks concave! I hope my new glasses gt in soon! This time, I opted out of the non-glare coating. I've never had it peel off, but I get it plenty scratched!
ReplyDeleteLove your creations!
Hugs!

Oh my - your old lenses look just like mine. I've got to get myself in for an appointment. Like your frames - look very nice on you.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards - interesting background technique - and the daisies are lovely.
Enjoy your 3-day-holiday
Hugs
Gad, you make me feel human. I won't show you mine. I need to go get some. You inspire. A great picture too! Miss Pretty! I like this web cam better.
