another birdhouse card...

I haven't made a shaped card for a while, so I pulled out my book of templates and decided on this birdhouse one. I love this card - and the Indigo Bunting image from smARTworks was the perfect size for it.

I got the template from an older Paper Crafts magazine... sorry I can't find one online that's similar to share, but maybe you can get a general idea for the template from the shot of the opened card below. I'm not sure what PC's copyright policy is on sharing scanned templates...so I'd better stay safe. I probably have the magazine somewhere to find the date of the issue, but sigh...I don't want to dig through boxes for it. Sorry...
On the front of the card I went for a faux wood look, using pencil lines and some other inks directly on the pearlescent cardstock. I stamped the bird image twice, and popped the bird up on foam tape. The bird is colored with Neopiko markers and Prismacolor pencils.
You still have time to participate in smARTworks' monthly smART-Word challenge - link up your Fall-themed project over at the challenge blog by Oct. 27th for a chance to win a fun prize!
Thanks for stopping by! I'll be back Thursday with another Create-a-Cupcake card...!
