Impression Obsession meets Shimmerz!

The Impression Obsession design team and Shimmerz design team are pairing up to show off all our products this week together - how fun is that? If you're not familiar with Shimmerz, they are a water-based, super sparkly paint that sparkles up just about anything! Blingz are even more sparkly. You can paint directly on your project, layer paint over an already colored project, or mix a little paint with reinkers or watercolors.

I decided to work with this Orchid image - isn't it beautiful? I am loving these large floral images. On both these cards, I colored the background and image with Neopiko markers, and overstamped the open area with chalk inks. The orchids are shaded with Prismacolor pencils and highlighted with a white gel pen.

(The sentiment on this card is called Old Friend, and the script stamp used on the orchid background is How Do I Love Thee?)

Now on to the Shimmerz - after the image was colored, I painted over each flower. It's hard to see in the photos above, but look at these photos taken at an angle - ! The first image is painted with Angel Wings Shimmerz, and my husband insisted the orchids were raised somehow:
