Like a river glorious is God's perfect peace....

Always something here....we ended up taking our oldest son to the ER this evening (I do use the term "emergency" very loosely...)...he has had a fever (up to 102.5 F) and lower right ab pain since yesterday...earlier this afternoon he started in with chills, so we thought we'd better get him checked out. They ruled out typhoid and malaria but the blood test also showed high white cell count, so 'something's infected'. They wanted to do an ultrasound but (alas, and not really surprising) won't have a tech there...until Monday. We are planning to go to Jakarta tomorrow (Sunday) for the kids' passport aps, so if he doesn't improve with the antibiotics we will get him checked there. Sigh......
These special edition verse sets have been such a blessing to me - each verse is one that has been a blessing and stronghold to a member of Our Daily Bread design's creative team...how neat to be able to use them to encourage others through this medium as well. This verse is on vellum backed with double-sided tape, torn, and adhered to a printed photo that I took in Northern Montana last year. Putting these words here for me:

Like a river glorious is God's perfect peace,
Over all victorious in its bright increase;
Perfect, yet it floweth fuller every day,
Perfect, yet it groweth deeper all the way.

Hidden in the hollow of His blessed hand,
Never foe can follow, never traitor stand;
Not a surge of worry, not a shade of care,
Not a blast of hurry touch the spirit there.

Every joy or trial falleth from above,
Traced upon our dial by the Sun of Love.
We may trust Him fully all for us to do;
They who trust Him wholly find Him wholly true.

Stayed upon Jehovah, hearts are fully blest;
Finding, as He promised, perfect peace and rest.
