Just had to share some pictures I snapped last night at sunset - I have never seen anything like this cloud/light phenomenon - it was truly breathtaking. Swirling light and color and shadows...I don't know what would cause that - anyone have a meteorologist friend who knows? I'm really fascinated (I swear the only thing I remember from 2nd grade science is the names of different types of clouds...).

Awesome! We too love to see the cloud formations and to find pictures in them. And how often does a song or an old hymn come to mind in the circumstances of the day? Love it. I'm glad you had a camera and shared the photos. We, it seems, never do.

ReplyDeleteI haven't heard if they are doing it yet this year but USA today has a weather photo contest. You might poke around the site and see. I'd vote for these.
ReplyDeleteDina, face looking toward a lighthouse displaying a cross in its beam windows is another image I discern in pic one. Pic two looks like it could have been taken in a Montana sunset. That place is loaded with photo ops. In the tourist season, people with monster lense cameras on tripods with stop just like a Yellowstone Park 'bear trap' of bygone eras to photograph sunset action.
