Joy to the World

This month I have the privilege of showcasing Our Daily Bread designs' new set called "Joy to the World". I love the peacefulness of the Nativity image, and there are so many versatile sentiments and verses to go along. The scene is so easy to color, and would be a fun one to paper-tole as well!

Here's a card I made yesterday using the set - I chose to watercolor using a Niji waterbrush and Derwent WC pencils, and frame the scene it in a circle.

The layer behind the circle was cut out using Coluzzle's nested circle template, and punched around the edge with a corner punch....totally unscientifically, too, except that I made sure that each punch overlapped the previous punch just enough to create a pattern around the edge when I made it all the way around. It didn't come out quite even at the bottom, but...that's what bows are for, right? LOL

You can see more cards by the ODBD design team here! I'll be back tomorrow with another card to share, and don't forget about the free stamp giveaway - I'll draw a name tomorrow for that too!
