House Mouse paper-piecing challenge
Here's my entry for this week's challenge at the House Mouse Monday Challenge Blog, in which we were to use paper-piecing on our card. I chose this Happy Hoppers image, and pieced the umbrella. The image is colored with Prismacolor Pencils, and the background is lightly chalked. I used a silver gel pen to highlight the umbrella handle, and a glitter pen to highlight the puddle. The sentiment is one of my favorites from Heart and Soul Rubber Stamp Co. We have had 5 packages sitting down at the post office in town for a week now, and finally got to get them today (we don't have our own car yet, and DH has been sick, so it's been hard to get around anywhere) .........among some goodies and stuff-we-forgot-at-Grandma's, I also finally got my August release sets from Our Daily Bread designs, AND an amazing assortment of Just Rite Stamper kits from Rose Ann, just for fun!!!!!! Thank you so much, sister!! I don't know which to play with first!
Awesome paper piecing... and fun new toys in the mail. woo hoo!

Dina, I'm so very sorry I *still* haven't gotten my blog changes wishlist to you!! *sigh* I have another crazy weekend in store - hosting a fundraiser for the service group I belong to at my house on Sunday - but I REALLY hope to get my act together on it next week! (but I guess you know enough about me by now not to hold your breath......!)

ReplyDeleteHey, Dina, been praying for more as you to share creative talent with blessings! Thanks muchly! On the way to Beth Moore's morning study for 4,500 plus at an arena where people from six states (admitted mt, Kentucky, Idaho, ND, SD, Wyoming, and a few Canadian Provences) will be gathering in an hour or so. I must hit the road to sit on a folding chair in line so as to locate a less neck kincking seat in the arena! Wanted to stop by with congrats and appreciation for your super designs and honor to FATHER! See ya' on the net! Keep Looking Up!
