winter blues

There's been a change in the wind the last couple days - dry season is here...yesterday it really agitated my allergies. Joy. Today not so bad.

So...a wish for cold. Inspired again by Michelle Zindorf I pulled out my brayer to color this winter sky (Adirondack Stream and Denim) after stamping and masking the bear (smARTworks - Warming Up). The snow is acrylic white paint, applied with a stylus. Saying is from the Hummer set...I bent the stamp a little and cut the banner by hand to match the curve.

On the background panel I stamped the snowflakes from the Polarized set in Stream ink, then tried my new Tsukineko glue pad with some glitter. Wasn't too impressed...but I'll give it another chance. Just most of the glitter brushed off when I used a soft brush the next day. Anyone have any suggestions?

  3. Wish I could help you with the glue pad - but I've never bought one either! We're all a lot of help aren't we?! Such a fun card to be made by someone in hot, dry Indonesia! Made me chuckle... I'll bet you ARE wanting a bit of cool about now! Hugs & blessings to you!!!

  4. I love this card! It makes me want to make christmas cards!! I too have had some trouble with the glue pad and glitter. I've had a little more luck with the glue pad and that fluffy stuff...what's it called... can't think of it right now!!

Hope the weather improves for you! Thanks for the inspiration.
