Happy thoughts....

Just had to post something that makes me happy since the last couple of posts have been a little heavy! This frog is from Eureka Stamps, and the stream scene is from Repeat Impressions. Since the scene was pretty big, I filled color in first with chalks applied with a cotton ball, then added shading with my colored pencils. The frog is watercolored, with highlights added with a white glaze pen. His little hoppy trail is hand-drawn with a black glitter pen. I stamped a saying from smARTworks inside - "Thoughts of you always make me smile."

I have some old outdated-looking background paper pads that I am trying to use up little by little - I'm thinking of just going through each pad page by page until it's gone. I've had it for-like-ever and for some reason (it must have been on sale) bought 2 sets of 4 pads "so I wouldn't run out"...sigh...anyway, don't be surprised if you see this green plaid again!
