Mug Trio

I'm not completely sold on this card, but it has some elements on it that I like...I had told myself that I needed to get out of my green card rut, hence the blues....green cards and brown clothes are my current happy ruts......I was also watching America's Got Talent while making this - so I was justifiably distracted...

This card features my Mug Trio set from smARTworks. I stamped the solid stamp in white chalk ink on the blue cardstock and stamped the flourish (Stella set) as steam, then layered the 2nd and 3rd images in increasingly darker blues. The Screen stamp was added for texture. For a tutorial on using smARTworks Trios stamps, you can click here (that's my website! let me know what you think - feel free to click around in there too, though it's not all done........)

I have a Mug Trio set to give away too - !
For a chance to win, leave a comment on this post, and to be completely random.....tell me how you put your socks and shoes on. Do you do it the same way every time? Personally...I'm a left sock right sock left shoe right shoe girl, and I can't do it any other way. I'll draw a name from the comments on Sunday night (6/29), when we get back from Orlando.

  1. I like your card Dina. From my side of the screen it looks green, not blue, but I like it whatever it is. I'm a right foot then left foot gal. Same with the shoes. Slip right in.

  2. I love your card too, that stamp set is wonderful too :)! Okay, now as for the sock/shoe issue...to be honest I haven't really paid any attention to it. Probably because I am usually in a hurry to get out the door with my 3 kids. I would have to say though I do right left foot first for socks and for the shoes I think I do right foot first or whatever shoe is closest to me.

  3. Hi Dina,
    Your card is really pretty!!!
About the sock-shoe topic..hmmmm I think I am right first and then left, and with shoes it depends which one I find first. LOL.

    Have a blessed day.

  4. Well, you just send that card my way and I will cherish it forever and ever! Silly girl...its WONDERFUL!
Socks and shoes...ugh, if I HAVE to, its honestly whichever shoe I grab first. I'm anal about other things, but I guess not about my shoes.

  5. Anything that might have to do with a cup of hot coffee is wonderful to me! :-)

Let's see: I always start with my left foot. Sometimes I do left sock, right sock, left shoe, right shoe. But, every now and then (and I don't know why) I'll do left sock, left shoe, right sock, right shoe.

  8. Hi Dina. I really like the card! And I am (again) inspired by the creation of steam. My coffee too must have steam...
I have had to think about this sock and shoe thing. I think I most often do left/right and left/right as you do, but not exclusively.
Hoping I win those tea pots.....

  10. we are kindred sock/shoe sisters too :) love the flourish steam and the beads along the edge! random is good- but sometimes ruts are simpler when you're pushed for time. My 'rut' is purple :) <>< Sue from H&S RS Co.

  11. Hmmm... right sock first, but with shoes, it just depends on where they are when I find them. :-)

Dina, I really love the blue oval of the card, the background frames the card so perfectly!

  16. Nice card! I don't really have a routine in putting on my socks and shoes. Sometimes left comes first, and sometimes right.

  17. Pretty card, Dina. I haven't tried the trio sets yet. That would be fun to win.

I'm a left sock, right sock, left shoe, right shoe gal. Though being a Floridian I seldom wear socks.

I just love this mug set. I've never used chalk ink before. Can you please tell me what the brand name is and where I can find it? It really sets off the mug.

  24. Pretty card! I'm intrigued by your Trios.

Right sock, left sock. Then whichever shoe is closest to me! Or in the case of summer, no sock, flip flop!
