Tea time!

Donna challenged us to create a card without adhesive for this week's smARTworks Tea Party challenge. (Truthfully, that gave me one less thing to search for in the luggage...so rather than a limitation, that was a good thing...LOL)

The Hummingbird stamp is from a newly released set called "HSD-Hummer" (HSD refers to artist Darlene Poole's business, Heavenly Smiles Original Designs! Several of the new releases feature her beautiful art.) He's watercolored, and kinda sparkly in real life. :) Didn't show up in the photo at all.

Making a card with no adhesive requires an engineering mind and a plan beforehand...I might have rather used the sewing machine if it wasn't a bother to pull out, and if I could assure that it wouldn't ruin my card. So, the brads and the ribbon worked...though, truthfully, I will probably go back and disassemble it and tape down some of those edges before I send it on. Otherwise, no surprises - I think I got the paper at the Dollar Tree.

  1. Beautiful card Dina! I really love how you didn't use the whole image! Brads are always a great 'no glue' holder.

  4. Well done, as always. Everything just "works," but I especailly like the way your layered background papers give further the illusion of "sky."
