Heart and Soul Stamps!

A few weeks ago there was a post on Splitcoast Stampers about Heart and Soul Stamps...after a look at their site I decided to place an order. Their online pdf catalog features a wide variety of stamps, mostly text - encouraging sayings, Bible verses, and so much more. At the heart of this company is ministry: "At Heart & Soul we truly believe that it’s possible to make a difference in someone’s life by sharing your time and talents with those around you- Maybe even an eternal difference by sharing God’s Word with them!"

Stamps can be purchased in 3 ways - mounted, unmounted with cushion, or unmounted rubber only. I chose to purchase the rubber only, which they offer at $1.50 per die, regardless of size! I expected them to be untrimmed, but my stamps arrived as shown in the picture - I have never seen stamps so immaculately trimmed before! Wow! Sue also took the time to index each stamp on the back with the company name and stock number (and they are an angel company). The stamps give a beautifully clear impression. I'll order again - I have a catalog and I'm already working on my list!

Stamps used: Hands and Blessing

I did a little scribbling around and inside the hands with my watercolor pencils before blending with a waterbrush, then sprinkled the whole card with salt and left it to dry. That gives it the spotty and blotchy appearance you might be able to notice if you click on the photo...after that I filled in the hands. I really like the look overall. I didn't expect it to come out so purple, but it works. I love love love that image of the hands. Most of the sayings I chose were picked out with our co-workers overseas in mind - sayings that would be encouraging to thsoe who are pouring out their lives each day into the lives of others, and hardly ever get "real mail" to lift their spirits. I've decided that part of my ministry needs to be giving strength to those that work alongside me...so that helped make some of my decisions.

I've been working on a couple blog banners for customers - keeping me busy but it's been fun!
