Tea and Cookies

It's time again for a Tea Party with the smARTworks smART Cookies. This week's layout was designed by Donna Duquette. The accompanying challenge was to use something other than paper scraps for the vertical elements...fun stuff!

My first card ended up a little busier than usual...but I like it anyway. Not sure what put me in the mood for a Spring card...definitely out of season...but the ducks came first (Best Friends set) and they went so well with the background paper...and it just evolved from there. The ribbons were scraps from my jar, and the stickers are by EK Success; 'Together' is handwritten.

Card #2 was a fun one...another one of those cards that was in process over several days. For the vertical elements, I cut 2 shadow stamps from a piece of foam, and inked them with Memories Soft Leaf ink.
The flower is from the Daisy Trio set (the smallest size) - I stamped those with Versamagic chalk inks, and stippled some yellow acrylic paint in the centers after stamping. The stems were positioned with my Stamp-a-ma-jig and I masked the bottom of the panels so the stems would stay in their boxes. The saying is stamped on vellum and laid over some Basic Grey paper.

  2. Ok, I've done two orders from smARTworks and both times I took the ducks off my order, because I figured I could wait until spring! I guess spring can be anytime you want! I love the card!
