same song, second verse....

Soooooooo loving this High Hopes stamp! Here's one more card to share using it. I love stamping and coloring on kraft paper...and this color combo just evolved. The original coloring was all browns, kind of like an old-time photo. I found this scrap of digiscrap paper though, and loved the blue in it...so I colored the shirt and patch blue, and that pulled it all together. The saying is from TAC - probably retired, but I can't keep track. I just love the saying! The letters are open, so they're fun to color in. I tried a couple ways, but settled on this one - using Prismacolor pencils.

Update on my weekend here <-------!

Today, since it was the 5th Tuesday, we had a ladies day out - just Americans, 5 of us - lunch and shopping. It was sooooooo nice...to not be on a schedule or have kids pulling on me - just to sit and visit and browse. Ahhhhhhhhhh....and I can breathe deep again. More than anything here I think I miss my independence. I don't drive here, and often our trips to town are on an agenda, not at all relaxing...anyway, it was nice today. AND - I found material for 2 skirts, some American non-stick baking pans (even pizza pans!) for CHEAP, a couple books to read, some cute pens for the kids, and a few other treasures, too!
