anyone want to come over for tea?

Tea again...! This is really a versatile stamp. It's called "Tea Square" and comes from smARTworks. I still want to make a "Mrs. Potts" tea party invitation, maybe even a set (invitation, place card, and something gifty)- can you picture it? LOL

Anyway, I wish you could see this card in real life, because it's sooooooooo shimmery. The image is painted with Twinkling H20s, and I used the same paint to create the background (using the Smackin' Acetate idea).

The "bingies" are the self-adhesive cell-phone decorations that my daughter and I love finding here - they're like $0.80 - $1.20 for enough to cover the front of a cell phone, and they're so pretty. I love the clear ones. The other day I found 2 packages that were multi-colored. Yay! They have rhinestone-looking ones too. It's fun to discover what you can find when you can't just go down to the craft or scrapbook store. (And if you remember me posting the instructions before - yes, I did pay attention to not being injured!)

I've used the idea of a pull-tag on a card before, but when I made this card I was thinking of another card by WAXYO , because of the shape of the tag...took me a while to remember that she gave me 'inspiration credit' for her design! LOL

I was up most of last night w/ no running water and 2 puking kids...one was the baby, the only one left that doesn't understand how much easier it is to clean up when you aim toward a bowl...sigh...joys of motherhood...

Have a great week!

  5. Oh I so identify with the kiddos and how dependent they are on you! Glad to know you are still finding the time and energy to create! And such a lovely card! Love the tag element, too.
