more layout challenge cards...

Here are a couple more cards I made using Beate's layout...I had painted several of the images the other day, and I was glad, because I ended up needing to make 2 versions of this card very quickly, and had the main panel already done! The little girl with the Bible is from an All Night Media set of clear stamps. How cute is she? I love that twirly dress. I painted her with Twinkling H2Os. I was really surprised at how deep the color of the pigment was - guess I'm used to seeing washed out watercolors - this was so rich! Look at that red! Other stamps - the Blessings stamp is from Biblical Impressions, and that is my handwriting, I'll have you know! :) The original stamp has an exclamation point, which I cut off. "Tuhan memberkati" means "God bless you", and I stamped that with Karen Foster Snap Stamps.

I love the forgiveability (I'm sure that's not a word) of watercolors too - can you tell on both of these that I had to fudge a little to cover up a smudge or bleeding colors? On the red card...I did the green background and the red started to bleed, though it was dry when I got to that point. So...hmm...gave her a red shadow. Good thing I had this coordinating paper! The other piece was similar, except I think it was just a smudge of red, so I made a few more to make it look like..."I meant to do that." HA!

Just an FYI...if you were thinking of ordering a watermark...I'm needing to take a break on those for a couple of weeks. We'll be away from home and back on June 5th, so until then, I'm going to finish up the orders I have and ask others please to wait. Thanks!

  3. Such cute cards! I really love how you used the primas on the layout. Those hydrangeas are my favorite primas to use.
