coupla RAKs

I've been hanging on to a couple pictures until I was sure the cards were in the hands of their recipients - didn't want to spoil the surprise! One of the 'funnest' things about stamping is making a card that is personalized to someone's mood, taste, or personality...so...here are a couple of those cards, which I really had fun making!

The first one went to Jacki, who blogs at the Card Castle. She loves purple, and tulips, and purple tulips...! Jacki and I met online about 6 years ago through Biblical Impressions - we go way back! The tulip stamp is from Art Impressions, Thinking of You from TAC. I colored with my Prismacolor pencils, using mineral spirits to blend. The background is lightly chalked. Again...one of my favorite quick layouts, with the strips of scrap paper filling the bottom panel. Fun, quick, and easy!

Card #2 for the day went to Angie, who blogs at Quacking Creations. Angie is another one of my "imaginary" stamping friends, and can you tell by her title, and her SCS name (duckwaddlequack) that she likes...um...ducks? LOL! So, a duck card for Angie. The ducks are from smARTworks - aren't they so cute? They come in a set with 3 cute friendship sayings. I watercolored the ducks and their cute little scene, took a couple pictures in the process for a tutorial on making those little paths someday when I have time to breathe again...! Saying is from TAC, and I used a small grass stamp from Art Impressions and a stamp from SU Watercolor Minis for the flowers.

Enjoy, sweet friends!
