one more variation....

OK, I'm stuck on this layout, but it's going so well...why quit? These cards are coming together so quickly and I'm foreseeing needing a lot of them for thank you cards, RAKs, etc. So...sorry if I'm boring you...but maybe I'm inspiring you too...?! Ya never know. Pull out your paper scraps and give it a try, if you need some quick cards in a hurry.

My care package last week had a package of Rhonna Farrer Flower stamps in it! I'd been eyeing the flourish sets, but hadn't really noticed these. They are too much fun! I have some clear stamps but they are not the quality of these and others that are coming out now. I stamped the flowers on watercolor paper and put the Derwent pencils to work. There are glitter pen highlights and clear beads in the center that you probably can't see. The coloring on the flourishes is done with Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits. "friend" is a bonus stamp from smARTworks, and I stamped "sweet" with my Karen Foster Snap Stamps. I lined up the scrap strips on a strip of 2" wide double stick tape. On that little pink flower there's what my 4YO calls a bingie...she and I have a favorite store in the mall called "Naughty", which is kind of the local answer to Claires...we went there yesterday and got some new nail polish, hair stuff, and some of those mini rhinestones. Fun girly stuff.

So far I have a yellow version and an orange version of this card as well - I'll just post them in my SCS gallery, as it's been a bit abandoned lately.

I'm on the edge of my seat - I have cards in 2 contests that end today - one at smARTworks and one at the Stamping Studio. I also have that entry in the Art Impressions contest, and voting will start next week on that one (I'll post the link for you when it's up). After that...I think I'll take a break from contests and work on samples for My Heart Stamps for You a while...stay tuned!

  2. There you go with those paper strips again - love the pinks and oranges. It also looks like you scored along the edges on the white panel? Very nice detail!!
