Happy birthday, Granny!

My Granny's birthday is Feb. 12...I haven't sent this yet, so I know it's gonna be late, but I had to send her something, sweet lady! My Granny is 84 and still mows her own lawn, quilts, and teaches piano lessons. She's so great! (If you happen to know her...don't spill the beans!)

I had this stamp out already so I decided to use it on her card too. The stamp is by www.myheartstamps4u.com, and it just so happens to be on special this month, 25% off! Did the watercoloring with my Derwent watercolor pencils, which you know I love! The navy panel is the other piece from the circle-bear card I made last week (but you can't tell it's cut out because it's underneath). It's embossed with leaves using a Fiskars texture plate.

Both 'birthday' and 'blessings' are partial stamps - same ones I used on the cupcake card (yes, I need to clean my desk!).

I forgot to sponge the edges of the card before I put it together, so I ended up stippling instead - I think it worked better on this one - more subtle.

Another new watermark - and I filled my first order just now! Yeah!

  1. This card is sooo pretty. I know your Grannie will love it! How could she not?! Like the stamp too. I think you have a winner here!
