Power Poppy May Release!

I'm hopping with Power Poppy's Bloom Brigade today to celebrate - the new limited edition digi sets are available on the site now!  Click over to Power Poppy to see more!

I actually started by coloring the Gerbera Daisies and their stems with a Touch Twin marker, just to have an even base color (Y141). The rest of the coloring was done using Spectrum Noir's new pencils - I'll be sharing a review on them someday soon... after we get home and settled and I have some time to play. There are lots of layers of color, just blending with the pencils themselves. When the coloring was done, I splattered a bit of ink on the panel, keeping the edges masked.

I used a favorite technique to cut the rectangle panel with part of the image outside the cut lines - I have a tutorial for doing that HERE. I didn't have matching twine, so I pulled out some jewelry cord - I have a small stash that I've purchased on etsy little by little, with the hopes that someday I'll have time to sit down and actually make jewelry instead of just collecting supplies!

The sentiment is from the Azaleas set released last month.  I just love it! Here's the full digital release:

...and here's a list of all the designers sharing love and links today - I hope you'll check out their projects as well!!
