Footprints

One of Our Daily Bread's October releases was based on the Footprints poem. The poem can be purchased complete with the scenic border as one stamp, or you can purchase the Footprints set, which has the border, poem, and 2 coordinating verses. Love it! Here are 3 creations made with Footprints stamps.

Russ said this was one of his favorite cards ever...so I guess it scores as a masculine card. I stamped the full poem/border stamp on watercolor paper, crumpled it up, smoothed it, then tea-dyed it (yes, with a real tea bag!) and watercolored in some shading and the edges. I did stamp a Hero Arts map stamp on the right edge using Versamark ink. I just thought "treasure map" when I first saw it, and wanted it to look aged. The cording is wrapped around the brads at each corner.
This was a quick and simple card - I didn't even color on it, which is odd for me...but I so love this verse...!
This bookmark was the first thing I stamped when I got my new sets. I just inked the right side of the border stamp, and watercolored the scene using Derwent WC pencils. I used some white acrylic paint for the ocean. You can see a detail of that below. View the entire set HERE!

Still feeling tired and a little down. The boys all have stomach stuff going on, and it scares me that it could be parasites like I had. I tried to play soccer yesterday but just played one half - couldn't concentrate, and didn't have any reflex or speed. At least I tried. Just had to do something...

Happy news - I don't have to cook today because someone invited us for lunch, and the other guest who will be joining us has brought Russ' replacement wedding ring from the States, which I purchased with my watermark money!
