Impression Obsession - Die Cut Obsession

There are so many amazing dies at Impression Obsession - this special feature lets them have the spotlight. We hope you're inspired! Today's tutorial over on Splitcoast was so perfect for a die cut feature that I had to show off my sample today - this is a Stepped-Up Pinwheel Card

The tutorial is easy to follow and once the basic base is done, there are a kabillion ways you can decorate your card. The little pop-up and window features really take the design over the top!

These gnomes come with little Easter accessories, but nothing says they can only be Easter gnomes - that is the beauty of die sets with multiple parts! I love that their little hands are separate and can grab onto anything in any which way. The layered hats are pretty fun too. I did all my coloring with Copic markers here.
These little pop-up strips are something I need to study - they are off set so they come up at an angle when open but also fold flat for mailing. It's a really cool design!

The window panel is my favorite - I love the gnome peeking around, but look at the next little guy - he is on the next panel but he's peeking through the window when that panel is closed. So fun! Again, I love how fun it is to position their little hands.

Here's the next panel with the pop-up again. The design allows for 2 pop-ups on opposite panes.

I don't have a tree trunk die, so I embossed a piece of cardstock with a wood grain stencil, and cut it to fit.
Even with all that going on inside, the card folds flat and will fit in an A2 envelope.
Here's a bottom view of the pop-ups - such an interesting angle!

Be sure to check out the other designers' blogs for inspiration - see the I.O. blog for all the details!

Also, speaking of gnomes - I have 72 of these little guys in production! If you'd like to reserve some, please let me know - a few are spoken for already! These have driftwood bases and I have a random mix of white and brown beards with these fabrics - if I need to make more than 72, the fabrics will be different. $3.50 each plus $4.50 shipping.

Have a great week!
