Impression Obsession - September Team Favorites

The IO Team is back today to share a favorite card from this month's release, so here's mine! Head over to the Impression Obsession Blog for all the links so you don't miss anything. All the newest releases can be found HERE.

This card ended up being a little showcase of quite a few different products! After several hours of cardmaking I had strips of paper on my desk and these 3 wanted to stay together. I used the colors to inspire my focal panel - the mittens are loosely watercolored, and the sleeves are actually made from the scarf of the large snowman set, just flipped and cut in half.

Impression Obsession DT Theme - Holiday Cards & Tags

The Impression Obsession team has some projects to share  featuring holiday cards and tags - we'd love for you to hop along with us!

By coincidence, I made a card and a tag using this adoooorable snowman die set, so let's talk about those today! to make the card, I first folded a card base to be just larger than the main die. I set the edge of the die just outside the fold line and ran it through the die cutting machine to create a folding base in the shape of the head. A second cut was layered over the base to hide the fold. I cut the other pieces out of the same white cardstock, and cut an extra scarf for balance. Coloring was done with Copic and OLO markers.

For the tag, I used a different color scheme - and by the way, the configuration of these faces is much different than the sample on the site, so have fun giving your snowmen their own personalities! So many possibilities. I love the slot punch too - it's intended for ribbons but that little slot is so much easier to 'thread' twine through! I love it. The one I have is from EKSuccess but there are a lot of other options linked there as well.

Impression Obsession - new products for June

It's time for a new monthly release from Impression Obsession! Haven't seen the new products? They're all HERE - go take a peek!

There's a really fun collection of pet related products in this month's release, and I couldn't resist resizing this cat art for a large sketchy focal image! I used watercolors with a wet-into-wet technique to create a calico cat. The layout is very simple, with a wash and splatters pulling it all together.

On my second card I stamped the cat in hybrid ink and used OLO markers to color around it - the contrast and complementary color in the background are a really striking combination! Anna designed papers to go with these sets, and they're very fun!

Speaking of cats, we have 3 baby kittens at our house, just a week old today! Mama Beans is doing a great job.

Two lucky customers who place an Impression Obsession order during release week (June 1st-7th) will be chosen and will have a very special Impression Obsession prize package added to their orders!

June 1st-2nd the Impression Obsession Team will be sharing new projects with the NEW clear stamps, stencils, papers and dies! You can find a list of participants on the Impression Obsession Blog each day through the event. Here are the links to today's projects:

Impression Obsession August Red Rubber Kit

The design team is sharing projects today using this month's stamp kit from Impression Obsession! This kit will be available through August-September, and features Halloween images.

This set is a little spooky but mostly sweet! I colored this image up with Copic markers, masking the clouds with a Sakura clear glaze pen. The black dot paper is from one of our paper packs... speaking of Copics, these papers are coated and color up so nicely with alcohol markers. You could make these dots any color you want!

August 1st & 2nd the Impression Obsession Team will be sharing new projects with the August Limited Edition red rubber stamp set. You can find a list of participants on the Impression Obsession Blog each day through the event!

Impression Obsession June Red Rubber Kit

The design team is sharing projects today using this month's stamp kit from Impression Obsession! This kit will be available through June - July, and features Christmas images.

This Santa image has a sweet vintage feel so I stamped it here onto one of my vintage collage papers from the Vintage Coffee paper pack and colored it in with Copic markers and a white paint pen. If you have any of our papers you know how wonderfully they color up! Additional snow was added, gesso dotted with a ball stylus.

Impression Obsession - May Team Favorites

The IO Team is back today to share a favorite card from this month's release, so here's mine! Head over to the Impression Obsession Blog for all the links so you don't miss anything. All the newest releases can be found HERE.
This was another sample I made pairing the new wood texture paper pack with one of Gary Robertson's digital stamps. Who could be uncheered with an outhouse card? coloring was done with Copic markers and a little blended ink.

Be sure to check out the other designers' blogs for inspiration - see the I.O. blog for all the details! This is a busy week for me - I am helping coordinate a county-wide Arts Fest this Saturday. I'll be sure to update later and let you know how it went! This is the show piece I need to finish Thursday - yikes! This is the first show piece I've really done since my BelAir drawing was stolen.

Wish me luck!

Impression Obsession DT Theme - Funny Cards

The Impression Obsession team has some projects to share today featuring a humorous theme - we'd love for you to play along with us!

I love a good pun! Jeanne and Anna are a great team, with Jeanne's word plays in clear set forms to go along with Anna's clever dies. My coloring was done with Copic and Tooli-Art markers here, and that's one of my paper designs on the base!

Impression Obsession - more May products

We've got more projects from the new release from Impression Obsession today! If you haven't seen the new release, you can find it all HERE - go check it out!

I thought it would be fun to use this brick paper as an actual wall, so I chose one of Gary Robertson's window images to work with. It's colored with Copic and Tooli-Art markers and popped up on foam tape. These papers take Copic ink beautifully, so I added a shadow under the window with a dark grey marker to create some depth.
