Splitcoast Tutorial: Candy Dispenser

This week's tutorial over on Splitcoast is a Candy Dispenser - it's a perfect little project for Valentines Day! The box opens to fill at the top, and has a little dispenser opening at the bottom.

I used the adorable Playful Pups clear set from Whimsy Stamps for my box - that set is retiring but there are a few left at a discount, so grab it now if you'd like to add it to your collection! So cute.

Here's a closer look at the image (colored with pencils on matboard) and the opening at the bottom. I colored her like our puppy (who is now almost as big as me)!

For the topper, I tied a double bow with my Bow-Easy then poofed it up and heated it slightly with my heat gun to help it hold its shape. Love that little trick for synthetic ribbon.

My project fits this month's Whimsy Challenge, so I entered it there. Hope you'll try this one!
Thanks for stopping by!
