Impression Obsession DT Challenge: I Adore You

The Impression Obsession team's challenge today is to create a project with a love or friendship theme. In case you haven't noticed, there are some new Valentines Day dies in the store, so I wanted to share a couple of ideas with one of the new background dies.

This is the die I used - for my first card I used my MISTI magnets to hold a die cut in place, and used it as a stencil for brushed inks.

Lacy Hearts die
I used 3 ink colors (Bubblegum, Peony, Ruby), brushing from light to dark. I used a Clarity stencil brush, and I love the soft look!

The stamps I used are from my stamp line - links are below. The 'adore' word is a partial image that I stamped by taping off the rest of the sentiment.

My second cared is a shaker card! I cut a frame from cardstock and a frame from fun foam and layered them like they are in the photo below to create the shaker frame. The base (pink) layer was inked with the same inks I used above, just dragging them across the panel.

For my filler I used some sequins and most of the negative cuts from the die - I did pull out the long pieces that are around the hearts.

Stamps and dies I used: Lacy Hearts die, Puppy Love Silhouette, Adore You, Treat the WorldAll-in-One Frames - Rectangles 2, Heart die set, Sending Love

  2. I love the first card. It reminds me of being a kid and sharing stuffed toys. I thought that was a die cut! It's so crisp.
