Impression Obsession DT Challenge: Tis the Season
The Impression Obsession team's challenge today is to create a project with a holiday theme...
I made this card using a favorite technique... the die is impressed into a watercolor panel without cutting. The panel is flipped, and then the raised lines are rubbed with an oil pastel or white crayon, and that acts as a resist for a water-based medium. I used Zig markers for the ornament and blended out with water, then used QoR paints for the background.
I used a pine branch die cut as a mask and stencil to add some texture to the background...
Here's a closer look at the ornament - the sentiment is from one of my smaller theme sets with an Essential Oil theme - it was a perfect fit on the tag!
Stamps and dies I used: Floral Ornament die, Flags die set, Essentially clear set, Pine Branch die
