New Spring Stamps from IO - Day 5

The Impression Obsession team is showcasing new Spring images that are available NOW! You can visit the I.O. Blog all this week for links to the previews and ALL the challenge details. Leave a comment on our designers' posts throughout the week for a chance to win a $25 gift certificates from Impression Obsession!

This image was inspired by one of my paintings, called Held - you might remember me posting about it when I was working on it, or maybe you've seen the print in my store...

I colored this image in with Copic markers - I'll share the colors I used below. I used a combination of direct blending and some palette blending with an alcohol-filled waterbrush... you can see that technique in the video.

These are the Copics I used:

Here's a quick video showing the coloring process - it's sped up 400% but you can see how easy it is to blend on the Canva-Paper, and the techniques I used for blending and adding texture.

This is the paper I'm using - it is a heavy weight multimedia paper with some beautiful canvas texture. As I mention in the video, it's great for watercolor media, alcohol markers, digital stamps, and even acrylic paint.

  9. Thank you for the beautiful technique. I have used alcohol in my waterbrush but I only used it to move the COPIC ink around. I will have to try picking up color off of a pallet. God bless you
