Splitcoast Tutorial: Guitar Card

We've had several requests for a guitar shaped card on Splitcoast, so this week's card tutorial has been long awaited. Here's my sample:

Take a peek over at the tutorial for Carol's version - I love her macro view! Mine is zoomed out just a little to include the curve on the side - that template is available down below the photo tutorial for anyone who'd like to make their own. Also, I didn't have wood veneer, so I stamped a wood background with the border from this dkdesigns set from Impression Obsession:

Grunge Building Borders
Such a fun one! Hope you'll try it out.

Are you missing out on the Weekly Inkling newsletter from Splitcoast? So many people tell me it's something they look forward to every week, which encourages me so much... when I first started working for Splitcoast it was the thing that terrified me most! I'm so happy to be able to share my tips with you, and to bring a little happy to your inbox. You can subscribe HERE if you're not already on our mailing list - and while you're in there, subscribe to our Special Events list too! We have some of those coming up!
Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I plan to give this guitar a try. I am thankful you showed how to make this using a stamp and not the paper. I have a stamp, so I will give that a try.

  3. Cute, cute card. I love my Splitcoast newsletters! I've save them all. However, this week's didn't come thru. All the info was a blank, alas. Luckily, I was able to bring it up from the website. Wonder what was going on?

  4. Very clever card and it doesn't seem to be as complicated as it first appears. Just as well because I'm really not into paper engineering! Excellent tutorial too, but then they always are!
