Mix-Ability & Dare To Get Dirty!

Wow, what a week! From CHA peeks right into Mix-Ability and Dare To Get Dirty!

Our Mix-Ability challenge this week is to mix a colored medium into some type of glue.  I got this Darice embossing folder last week (big surprise - poppies!) and had colored it up using Distress Markers, a misting bottle and a waterbrush. I decided to make the flowers stand out by brushing them with a mixture of Crystal Lacquer, pearlescent medium, and yellow Brusho. That really gave a sweet shimmer to the scene!

I loved coloring this in - and it makes me want to look for more embossing folders that have a scene on them instead of a pattern. I do have a few... what are your favorites?

Today also kicks off a week of fun, challenges, and prizes for our Fan Club members at Splitcoaststampers. So much of our site content is free, but there are some special 'perks' and members-only content for paid members. Dare To Get Dirty is our annual "thank you!" to the members of our Fan Club. This year we are throwing 50 challenges at them in the course of a week! It's a lot of fun behind the scenes, hosting the challenges and encouraging these sweet ladies as they jump in with us and see what it's like to get a little Dirty!

My card fits a couple of today's challenges, but the details are for members' eyes only! Curious?? Join us!
 Thanks for stopping by!
