Pencil Basics online course!

I've been working for some time on an online colored pencil course that is geared toward stampers wanting to improve their coloring skills using artist quality supplies, techniques, and theories. The class is now open! There are 17 lessons packed with information, instruction, photos, and videos. Students can work through the content at their own pace. The course fee is $65, and you can read a description of the content below. Hope you'll join us!

Pencil Basics Course - $65.00
 Payment through Paypal

Course Requirements:

--a Blogger/ Google ID
--wax- or oil-based pencils

My top recommendations are below. If you have another brand of wax/oil pencil already, that is fine.

Prismacolor Softcore (or Premier) Colored Pencils
Blick Studio Artists’ Pencils
 Lyra Rembrandt Polycolor Pencils
Faber-Castell Polychromos Pencils
Caran d’Ache Luminance
Caran d’Ache Pablo

If you want to read the information in the lessons on pencils first before choosing or ordering the pencils you'll use for the course, that is fine too. I use mainly Polychromos and Prismacolor for my demos and samples.

Optional: a solvent and stumps to blend your coloring, or a blending/burnishing pencil. Much more information is given in the lessons about blending methods and supplies - if you want to wait to purchase until after you read that information, no problem.

Thanks for stopping by!

  3. Just paid -- can't wait!! I've been trying to learn as much as I can by searching SCS and Youtube. Will be nice to go through an actual "course" for this! :-)

  4. I am interested in your course. I am wondering if the reason you need a blogger id is because the student should be posting assignments to a blog? Or is it just for login purposes? TIA!

  5. I have the same question as heidi above. Do I need a blog or just a Google ID? (I actually do have a blog that I've never made public.) Thanks, Dina! Sounds fabulous!
