Impression Obsession DT Challenge: I'm thankful for...
The Impression Obsession team's challenge today is to create a project showing something we're thankful for! No question here - I'm thankful for coffee. Here's my pinterest board in its honor... In fact, one of my friends suggested that I should add it to my art supply list as a 'weapon of mass creativity.' It's definitely part of my morning routine, and its influence has added a spark to many a project and stamp design.
I used an older favorite stamp from Gary Robertson called Coffee Scene. I stamped on putty-colored cardstock using Potter's Clay ink (Memento), and colored with Touch Twin Markers (colors are listed below). I added some finer highlights and shading with Prismacolor pencils.
My card base is embossed with a Sizzix folder, and then lightly inked with chalk ink on the raised areas. Here's a closer look at that button treatment - the twine is threaded through the holes, then tied into a bow.

Wow, beautiful colouring and the textured background really sets it off. I like the little twine and button detail. Fun way to tie it!
