Heartfelt Creations DT Alumni Hop
It's time again for the Heartfelt Creations
Design Team Alumni monthly blog hop... We've chosen the last
Tuesday of each month to share a project featuring Heartfelt
Creations' stamps when we can, just for fun. If you'd
like a chance at winning a prize, be sure to leave a comment on every
blog along the hop by Friday - there is a $25 gift certificate up
for grabs for one random commenter! If you'd like to view the entire
hop, you're in the right place! I'm at the top of the list today.
I made my card a couple of weeks ago for a challenge on Splitcoaststampers. The challenge was to have a window or windows on your card, but I wanted to create a scene that made me feel like I was standing on tiptoes, looking through my neighbor's windows (NOT that I would ever do that! LOL) I used some of the roses from the He Knows stamp (I have cut mine into 3 pieces... and I'm sad to say the stamp has been retired...) and then the single house. I stamped the roses first, then masked them and stamped the house.
The other elements (fences, tree) are watercolored. The whole scene was painted with Ranger reinkers. I scored the fence lines with my Scor-Buddy first, then stenciled the wood grain on with a stencil from the Crafter's Workshop.
I cut around some of the petals and leaf edges and then embossed from the back side of the panel to add some more dimension in the foreground.
Ready to hop on? Your next stop is Selma's blog! Thanks for visiting!
