Impression Obsession DT Challenge: Coffee, Nutmeg, & Pumpkin

The Impression Obsession designers are playing with a fall-inspired color combination today... or maybe it's dessert-inspired? The colors we are using are: Coffee, Nutmeg, and Pumpkin.

(OK, now I'm hungry...)

Just couldn't bring myself to make a fall card, so I chose this Rowboat image to work with... just to be different! I masked the sun and reflection with a liquid frisket, and used watercolor crayons to fill in the scene. Speaking of nutmeg, I thought I'd share a couple of pictures - we live in an area where many families grow spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, vanilla...), and one of our friends brought me some fresh nutmeg from his family garden. The shells have to be cracked open, then we grind up the nut inside. So there's your culture lesson for the day!

Remember you can enter these challenges too, using your Impression Obsession stamps! See the I.O. blog for all the details - you might even win a $25 gift certificate!! We'd love to have you join us. Be sure to check out the other designers' blogs for inspiration - their links are to the left!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
