the tie that binds...

I shared a card last week using the Rose Bouquet stamp from Heartfelt Creations - here is another sample using the same stamp, but in a different way. For this card I stamped the rose image several times on watercolor paper, then cut out individual elements and arranged them around the edge of my oval frame. Some of the roses are popped up with foam tape for a 3-d effect.

The hymn verse is found here: Blest Be The Tie...something I've found to be so true, especially since we've been living overseas - a kindredness that transcends culture. So cool!

  4. I love the card! The background paper is lovely, as is your flower coloring and the overall design.
That hymn is the one we sang at the end of the day around a campfire way back when I went to overnighr church camp. Perfect!
DH husband and I were half way around the world for the first time years ago, and wandered into a church mid afternoon on a Sunday. There were the bulletins from the day's service, and that was one of the hymns sung that morning. "A kindredness that transcends culture." That had a profound effect on me that day. So far away there had been Christians who worshipped as I did at home.
