stamps and chocolate....
Just for fun - this is an older Mary Engelbreit stamp I picked up on ebay, and a sentiment from Stampsations Stamps, now carried by My Paper Moon. (You can find it under Rubber Stamps in the Chocolate section.) The image is watercolored - can you see her gripping that box of chocolates? Love it...what a great sentiment, huh...though surely not doctrinally correct... My two creature comforts, though...stamping and chocolate...sigh... That border punch is an older Fiskars one...not my favorite, but I wanted something besides a straight edge there.
When a 5th Tuesday rolls around, my expat co-workers (just the ladies) take time out to go to lunch and do 'something' in town - shopping or spa or whatever... Yesterday we went to lunch and to the bowling alley, where they have a ladies' special...I'm not a bowler, so another lady and I played pool instead...I will leave that completely to your imagination! It was fun though. Just have to share one thing that completely amused me - this is the emergency alarm system in the bowling alley - you know...in case of emergency, break glass..........isn't this a hunting horn?? LOLOL
Awesome card Dina!

ReplyDeleteI have something for you over at my blog :)
ReplyDeleteYou always make me smile! Sometimes at the card, sometimes your stories, sometimes both! THANK YOU.
ReplyDeleteI too lived overseas for about three and a half years, in Bangkok, Thailand. One of the reasons I enjoy your website so much. Your designs are beautiful - God has truly blessed you! May he continue to do so for you and your family while you are there. The hunting horn is a riot! I play french horn, and have a little bigger version of one hanging on our living room wall. God bless you!
