You are the Potter

Here's the sketch for the newest ODBD challenge that I mentioned the other day - remember a Footprints set is up for grabs for those who participate!

Time for the sneak peeks to begin! Here’s a peek at one of the new sets from Our Daily Bread designs, available March 1st. It’s called You are the Potter. The pottery image is accompanied by 3 verses and a ‘handcrafted by’ stamp. This image is fun and so easy to color. I’ll have a few projects to show you over the next couple of weeks…and then…ODBD has some special things planned for their 1st anniversary celebration! We hope you’ll stay tuned and come and join the fun. I used the sketch above but rotated it counter clockwise and used an embossed metal tag for the sentiment bit...and tore the paper instead of using 2 different panels! The main image was stamped and then masked with a circle punchout mask for the moon as well. I brayered the background using a Kaleidocolor Rainbow Pad (Nostalgia)...I have a few of those that I so rarely use! I don't know what inspired this piece...surely some piece of Southwestern motel artwork that I've seen and repressed somewhere along the way...

Other details -
--The pots and shadows are colored with Prismacolor pencils with some white gel pen highlights.
--The branches in the pot are sketched in freehand and highlighted with pencils...it just "needed something" there.
--To add texture to the moon, I crumpled up a piece of scrap paper and inked it with my Versamark pad - 'stamped' it in the moon's circle, then applied Perfect Pearls to it wtih a soft brush.

Guess that's it - be sure to check other ODBD team members' blogs (links to the left) this week for more sneak peeks of You are the Potter, and the Serenity Prayer!
