Lift Up Our Hands + a giveaway!

With all the craziness of last month, I never really got to show off the prayer set that I designed for Our Daily Bread designs...! I always seem to have a bit of a creative block anyway with my own designs. Anyway, here are 2 cards to showcase the versatility of Lift Up Our Hands. This card just sort of 'evolved'...I stamped the main image first on watercolor paper, then colored in the background/base with a black marker. The hands were colored in with markers, then I added shading and highlighting with Prismacolor pencils and a white gel pen. The flourishes on the corners are partial images from the Flourished Christian Symbols set, and I masked the sentiment to break it into 2 parts.

This card was super simple to put together. I chose some coordinating scraps from my stash, stamped the main image in a coordinating ink, and layered it all together. The ribbon was originally white, so I dyed it with the same ink to match. I found the charms in town for about 20 cents apiece - ! I added an adhesive copper pearl to pull things together.

If you've read this far...maybe you like this set so much that you'd like to have your own copy??!?!! I have one to give away! Leave a comment on this post telling me either something you're thankful for, or sharing something that's been on your heart to pray for lately. I'll draw a random winner Tuesday Feb. 10th at midnight EST.

  2. I have so much to be thankful for! It is on my heart to pray for our new president, Barack Obama. Although I didn't vote for him, he is now the president of these United States, and needs the direction only God can provide.

  3. This set is so beautiful...I think it is my favorite set of all at ODBD!

I have it on my heart to pray for my Mom. She had major surgery on November 20, and is still trying to recover. This was the 4th, and largest, surgery she's had to correct the problem, and she has had multiple complications. I am giving thanks in advance for God's provision for her, and for allowing us to live together so that I am here 24/7.

    Thanks for the chance Dina!

  15. Dina, this is such a great set. It's perfect to use for someone in y life. I have a friend who's been sick for over 5 years now. She's 24 years old and they still can't figure out what it is. She is in terrible pain with her skin. She used to have terrible yeast infections all over. Now she's been directed to go to a very strict diet hoping to flush toxins out and get to the bottom of it. But now she has some sort of fungus... well you get the point. She's so young and been in bed for years. My soul aches for her. :-(

  21. I have been praying for my 8 year old, who is autistic (high functioning - Asperger's). I've prayed for his healing, and it's working. We have been working for 4 years now to get him better, and I can finally say that he is almost there. I am SO SO thankful to God for answering our prayers. He is now the child I always knew he could be.
