wisemen silhouette

Can't believe I missed blogging this card! This was one in my series of altered hymns a couple weeks back. I printed it on natural/speckle cardstock, then sponged color on from the lower right corner. The image was stamped in black, then colored in with a dark brown marker. I stamped the star in Versamark ink then brushed it with copper mica powder. The corner punch is called Intricate Iris, and it's made by EKSuccess. I used a large flourish stamp on the base layer from Stamp Camp - all other stamps are by Our Daily Bread designs.

Our Western coworkers got together for a Christmas party last night - it was really fun! Our kids had made gifts for us last week, and got to present them - the girls made a mini mop angel (you know what I mean, right?) that turned out sooooo cute, and the the boys made little (8x8"?) trivets out of broken tiles and plaster. So very cool. We had Mexican potluck and everybody's favorite Christmas goodies, sang together, did the white elephant thing...my prize was a hanging mosquito net - which has never been used, and I think actually will work quite nicely as a princess canopy in DD's room! So....happy sigh...and a sigh of relief at 2 Christmas parties down, 2 to go.
