Happy weekend!

I'm so way behind on posting cards I've made over the last few weeks...here's one from a couple weeks back that was fun to make...the main image is from Just For Fun, and the saying is made by Heart and Soul Rubber Stamp Co (how cute is that?!). The coffee cup is colored with Prismacolor pencils, blended with odorless mineral spirits. I embossed (I embossed!!) the sentiment with white detail powder. (I almost never emboss...but I needed the sentiment to be bright white.) Apparently my Liquid Applique has also been neglected for a while - it seems to have yellowed a bit. Oh well.

To form the pocket behind the main panel cut 3 strips of scrap cardstock, 1" wide, and score them the long way, 1/4" apart (so 3 score lines). Fold accordian-style so you end up with an "M" shape, then adhere the outsides of the "M"s - one to your main panel and one to the card base...on the left, right, and bottom (or is that obvious? LOL), so the valley of the "M" points out. Am I making any sense at all?

They love those coffee mix drinks here - we go through them quickly so we buy them 100 at a time. Not that brand though...I just happened to have one laying around. The Nestle brand is soooooooo much better. Not that you care...! :)

One more culture tidbit for you today......and a reason for you to pray for me in my language study!! 3 words:

giling - to roll out (like with a rolling pin)

guling - to roll (like you roll a ball)

gulung - to roll up (like rolling up a rug)
