exploring my 'collage' side.....
I vowed at the beginning of the year that I was going to "learn collage"...I don't think I ever tackled it really. I bought Shari Carroll's book "Layers", which I can see on my desk right now at the bottom of a pile...still unread.
But...since this has been a week of full of getting out of my box, sticking my neck out, making suggestions, being trusting and forgiving, trying new things...off we go with a collage card.
One day I will think to take pictures step by step...maybe.
I started with my Clock Collage stamp, available through smARTworks, stamped in black on textured paper. Everything else just built from that...the lines around the image are hand-sketched. I cut out the clock face with my Coluzzle and layered a slightly distressed one behind it, with a brad in the center. The quote is also layered, but on the top.
Other stamps used:
bonus rubber (cherish - a freebie I got with an order, always a surprise!)
Accents #1 (circle)
Stella (flourish)
Grasses
Photo Corners (this set is so cool! click the link to see what it looks like...)
What a great little collage Dina - especially like the little clock with the brad!

This is BEAUTIFUL!!! I have always loved collage...and have made quite a few collage ATCs, but have had a hard time bringing collage over to my cardmaking. Thanks for the inspiration!
