Noooooooooooooooooo squatty.

Just feeling a little homesick, so I thought I'd share one of my favorite pictures from our country. This is in the ladies' room at the KFC, of all places! Guess some people that are used to squatty potties aren't sure what to do with a Western throne. (In the ladies' restroom at the movie theater there is a sign expressing the staff's request that people not pee on the floor...)

I had tea at Starbucks this evening with Shannan's sister while Shan is off playing at CHA - we had a good time visiting! Lots of things in common, so it was fun. She said they give Shannan a hard time about all her "pretend friends" so she had to be sure that they were real...! Of all the random brother's inlaws live in the same teeny Texas town, and we are here for a couple of nights. Good times!

That's all for now, I guess. There's cheesecake in the fridge!

Thanks for checking on me!

  1. I'm so sad I missed you!!!!! Hope yall had fun!

  2. I so feel for you in being homesick. I know it has to be hard traveling constantly. I visit your blog almost daily. I will be praying for you as you travel the States and when you go back to Indonesia. A sister in Christ, Elizabeth S. in mid-Michigan

  3. Really funny! The things we take so for granted are unknown in the rest of the world - that always surprises me for some reason. Hmmm which small town in TX are you visiting? I live near one myself!

  4. How funny!! Oh how this brings back memories of my time in Malaysia! And sorry to hear you were in Texas (although glad you had fun with Shannan's sis!) but not in my part of Texas!!! :-)
