Can we fix it? Yes we can!

Well, after posting yesterday morning, I actually ripped the card apart and started over, so here's the final result. I like it better this time...probably could add a few more details but not sure I want to now, and risk overdoing it. It was totally the flower I didn't like - I'm with the others that commented. Too "round-round" with the other "square-square" bits. So....

The panels are basically the same. I did score around the edges of the paisley panel, then filed it lightly to give me a raised and white-ish border. That works for me.

The stripes in the background seem to set everything off better than the previous background paper...not sure why that is, but it seems true.

I think part of my stamping slump lately is the fact that we're moving soon (next weekend!!!) and I'm looking at lots of scraps and extra DP that is gonna have to move too...also with a furlough coming up, I'm want to have room to bring back new stuff from the States...anyway, hence all the quick scrappy use-it-up kinds of cards.

  1. I think I like this one better because of the ribbon :)

  2. Yup...I like this version better too. The flower was just too much of a good thing, I guess.

  3. I love the contrast of the darker ribbon!. The first card was fine too. You know my motto...You can never go wrong with purple.

  4. It is amazing what a few minor changes can do to a card. I liked the other one, but this on is stunning! WOW.
